Digital research opportunity in the UK
Mike Ward, Head of Journalism at the University of Central
Lanashire in Preston, UK, tells CyberJournalist.net that his department is looking for a Chair in Digital Journalism.
It's part of the university's growing partnership with Johnston Press, one of the major regional newspaper groups in the UK.
The Chair is an R&D post that would suit either an academic with an interest in applied research or a scholarly practitioner with a track record of published analysis.
Johnston Press will simultaneously establish their first converged newsroom at the JP newspaper in Preston, providing an invaluable lab environment for the Chair and research assistant.
You can find full details of the job at
www.uclan.ac.uk/other/hr/jobs/external.htm
The position is funded for three years in the first instance, to be
reviewed by JP and my university at the end of that period.
