nytimes.com podcasts from climate talks

The New York Times' Andrew C. Revkin filed daily podcasts from the climate talks in Montreal last week. "This is the first time The Times has podcast on a news event, so the more folks listen to it, the more likely we'll be able to do more," Revkin says in an e-mail. "The one I filed Weds night is particularly neat..."

"This was all a first-time experiment... A ton of work to do sound & print, also some time management challenges (audio and print editors hungry for raw material around same time; filed audio first). But 2 advantages:
1) captures aspects of event that text can't (the singing protestors)
2) an outlet for news content among folks who can't access printed page or laptop screen, or don't want to.
3) diffrent 'feel' -- more impressionistic, personal."

Revkin wonders "can a download of your favorite 'casts become as 'normal' as brushing your teeth?"
