New NBC5.com site launches

NBC5.com relaunched today with some major changes. The site is displaying video and images much more prominently. "Of course this makes sense for a TV station, but we are going beyond the day's local
news video and slideshows to offer more feature video, video archives and the video that gets everyone talking -- the "water cooler" stories," the site says in a note.

The site has also trimmed its navigation; is putting more emphasis on entertainment video and stories; makes it easier to find what is coming up on NBC5 TV with its new NBC 5 TV box; has added a News Links feature with links to anything mentioned on air; and has expanded weather overage -- you can watch a livestream of WeatherPlus around the clock on NBC5.com or simply click on WeatherPlus tab to see the latest conditions, forecasts, maps and radar views, and to personalize your weather outlook.
