Orlando Sentinel appoints AME/Online

Following a similar move by The Los Angeles Times, The Orlando Sentinel (also a Tribune-owned newspaper) has elevated the importance of online in the newsroom by creating a new Associate Managing Editor/Online position.

OrlandoSentinel.com Editor Anthony Moor has been promoted to the new position and will report to Orlando Sentinel Editor Charlotte H. Hall for the editorial content of the Web site and General Manager of Interactive Julie Anderson for Web site development and growth.

Moor, who was elected to the Online News Association Board in October, joined the Orlando Sentinel in 2003 as OrlandoSentinel.com Editor. Prior to joining the Sentinel, Moor was New Media Editor at the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, New York. Earlier in his career Moor served as a reporter or correspondent for television stations in San Francisco, Buffalo and Albuquerque. He also held various media positions for television and cable news bureaus in Tokyo, Japan.
