Roanoke Times redesigns

Roanoke.com, the news Web site of the Roanoke Times, recently launched a redesign. "The redesign highlights some of the site's newest features, such as its daily video news commentary, or TimesCast," writes in CyberJournalist.net reader Major Highfield. "The new design features a simplified, horizontal navbar, tabbed cover stories, and an expanded width of 975 pixels. In addition, the site has included a video message from the newspaper's publisher, explaining the redesign to readers."

The video message is a nice touch -- you can find it in the right column of the home page.

The site also has an open message board discussion about the redesign -- you can see what readers think here.
