'Don't bother writing for print'
"Don't bother writing for print," advises a mediabistro.com article that sings the praises of freelancing for web sites.
Rafe Needleman, a top editor at CNET.com, tells the author, "For writers it's really an interesting time, because the opportunities are out there. I pay just about what I do for writers online as I would for print content."
What about the prestige of "real" magazine or newspaper clips? Not impressed, Needleman says: "I think there is actually a stigma of print in my world."
