Office Pirates set for launch
After several years in development, Time Inc. will finally launch its much-hyped men's online magazine Office Pirates on Feb. 22.
MediaWeek reports:
The site will embody the spirit of lad mag humor found in magazines such as Dennis Publishing's Maxim and Stuff, packed with funny videos and off-color jokes. Its home page, officepirates.com, gives a preview of the irreverence to come--a sign of a skull and crossbones wearing a tie warns visitors, "Prepare to be boarded." Office Pirates has been the pet project of Mark Golin, former editor of Maxim and Condé Nast's Details.
