Knight-Batten Awards
The Knight-Batten Awards have been renamed and renewed. A $10,000 Grand Prize and up to $5,000 in Special Distinction awards will honor journalism innovations that help people use media to get news and information in new
ways.
A Wild Card prize of $1,000 has been added to the $10,000 Grand Prize and $5,000 Special Distinction winners. The Wild Card award will honor an emerging idea that may not be fully developed but deserves a megaphone beside the top winners.
Deadline for entries is June 15, 2006.
