Using the Web to bring the war home
The L.A. times has an amazing package of stories and multimedia about what happens to soldiers wounded in Iraq. The narrated slideshows are incredibly powerful -- imagine of images of blood-soaked wounded soliders going through emergency surgery, narrated by the soldiers and their doctors themselves. The stories and photos are powerful by
themselves, but the multimedia elements really make the story a much more immediate and emotional experience.
