Sacramento Bee launches redesign
Sacbee.com, the Web site of The Sacramento Bee, unveiled a new design today that features customizable news content, sleek navigation and enhanced search capabilities.
Specific features of the new Web site include:
· Rotating, themed content areas –Topics rotate so users can quickly and easily see all the news on the top portion of the home page.
· Customizable options – Users can choose what types of news they want to see – world, state, local, politics, sports, business, entertainment, opinion, community news, etc. – and control the rotation speeds.
· Improved navigation and search capabilities – The site has streamlined the options available on the home page, improved the drop-down menus to help users quickly find favorite sections, and enhanced the search capabilities.
· More photos – The Bee's award-winning photography is shown larger and with more frequency throughout the site.
· Unique online features – Features and items unique to sacbee.com are featured at the bottom of the page, including columnists, photo galleries, podcasts and more.

2 comments about 'Sacramento Bee launches redesign'I love the simplified look of the design! It mimics the look of many blogs, and carries the whole "Web 2.0" theme nicely.
There are a few bugs showing up while browsing the site with FireFox, and I don't think they're pushing the multimedia content strongly enough. But overall, nice work SacBee!

I think it's interesting they decided to stick with a 750px-wide content area.
