washingtonpost.com launched a new feature enabling readers to post comments directly on the site. The site has launched the feature in the sports section and plans to roll it out in other sections in the next few months.

Fantastic! There are so many times when I'd wanted to comment on a story (guess that's blogging sneaking into my online reading) and couldn't. Hats off to the "Washington Post." Now, if some of my local newspapers could follow its lead.

Let those carping critics be aware that to criticize the Nobel prize award to President Obama may well sound to foreign critics like another example of American arrogance. Are we now assuming the right to decide for the Nobel comittee who deserves this award>
