CNN to launch video podcasts
The free video podcasts will not carry ads initially, but according to David Payne, CNN.com’s senior vp and general manager, ads—mostly likely preroll video—are roughly a month away, MediaWeek reports. “There is insatiable demand in the ad world for new platforms and new media,” he said. “This [launch] is clearly driven from a business standpoint.”
