Video player now available for Blackberrys
CanWest has released the first video player for BlackBerry handheld devices.
The video player is free, powered by SONA and features video from CanWest MediaWorks. So far, all that is available are daily news, sports and business clips.
Right now the video player is in BETA release. As a result, users need to check for new video files available for download and click to download them. Once the product leaves BETA testing, then 'push' based delivery of content, where new content will be automatically sent to the device, will be available and users will not have to manually request new content.
HERE'S A DEMO:
The product's site says that video clips that are 1 – 2 minutes in duration should take between 3 – 5 minutes to download to the device. But in testing so far, downloading the video clips took considerably longer.
The videos are downloaded to the Blackberry, so once they've been downloaded, they can be watched even if there is no wireless connection.
The quality is a bit choppy -- that might be because it's still in BETA mode.
The current verson of the video player is only compatible with BlackBerry models 7130e and 8700.

So I did and the same words came up aging. That dum link does not work becaus every time I try it it doesent work. Did you here that sling player might be launching a media player for blackberry its supposed to be awasome. About the video player it has worked for me once but then it didn't work anymore. I have tried every link possible and if there is anyone who thinks they know a link I haven't tried post it here its really easy all you have to do is type in your name and email address (wich will not be showed) and your off. I hope that somebody knows a link I haven't tried though.
