New York Times Print Revenue Slides, Online Glides
Overall ad revenue for The New York times slid 3.8 percent across all properties in August 2006, in comparison with the same month last year. Meanwhile, internet ad revenue grew 17.3 percent over August 2005.
The internet revenue has been buoyed by TimesSelect. Nearly 200,000 people have signed up and paid a special fee to use The New York Times' TimesSelect service since it launched on Sept. 19, 2005, bringing in about $6 million in additional revenue.
