Citizen Journalism pioneer OhmyNews in trouble?

South Korea's OhMyNews, one of the earliest and most successful online citizen media ventures, is struggling financially, Business Week reports.

The site continues to look for a profitable business model and, after several years of small profits, is expected to lose money in 2006, the article says.

"Right now OhmyNews remains more of an interesting online editorial experiment than a viable business."

It would break my heart if this were true. My heart goes out to the citizens who took great pains in coming up with an avenue to be able to express themselves.
