C-SPAN To Launch User Video Site
C-SPAN is getting ready to launch a site where users can upload video, called “Viewfinder.”
Viewers will be encouraged to upload videos to www.c-span.org for review, rating and comment by producers, and for consideration for airing on the network.
It sounds like the site is C-SPAN is hoping to solicit and post viewer-submitted video from candidate events around the nation in the upcoming presidential campaign.
The “Viewfinder” viewer submission system was created via Streamload’s versatile Web Services platform, allowing C-SPAN to leverage Streamload’s online storage system which currently processes over 750,000 file uploads and grows by 2 terabytes of unique user data per day.
