E-mail Marketing Losing Ground
E-mail marketing is losing ground as a result of overly aggressive anti-spam efforts that have effectively blocked legitimate marketing emails, according to email marketing executives who spoke at MediaPost's Email Insider Summit.
This is happening as RSS is increasingly taking off, leading a lot of companies to shift focus to RSS.

It is now nearly inevitable, just as spam killed newsgroups. Why don't you use an email link rather than this lame-ass web form? Why do you have a security code to put in? Because you don't want spam to kill your website either. Believing those guys is like Ariel Sharon's sons believing Uri Geller when he said he could heal their dad. Wishful thinking and FUD.
