Deadline for Sidney Hillman Awards

The Sidney Hillman Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2007 Sidney Hillman Awards, honoring journalism that investigates issues related to social justice and progressive public policy. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2007.

Hillman categories include Books (non-fiction), Newspaper Reporting , Magazine Reporting, Film and Broadcast Journalism (includes television and radio), Photojournalism and BLOGs.

The 2007 awards are given for work produced, published or exhibited in 2006. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2007, and winners will be announced in May 2007. Winners are awarded a $2,000 prize and a plaque.
