The BBC leads the pack in breaking news and current affairs worldwide and has more coverage in many languages to increase the mileage.

I have been a fan of the BBC since age 7.

After the Hutton Inquiry, the British minister responsible for the BBC declared that the new focus of the corporation would be on "entertainment."

It is perhaps worth a smile that the BBC has long responded with a slogan of "Putting news first"

Political interference and inner city wankerism leaves the Beeb a chastened shell of her bitch-slapping-self.

But the candle still burns.

It may also be a sign that many people throughout the world are hopefully looking to BBC for more honest news than they can get in thir home countries.
