News veterans abandon TV for web

A veteran TV news team from WISC-TV/Channel 3 has abandoned TV to launch a specialty online news channel called StoryBridge.tv. Former anchor Katy Sai and news photographer Jay Olsen are creating a free site with longer, more in-depth video stories than you'll find on TV.

"We're considering adding a video forum for journalists around the country to share and comment on stories and would like to see if there's interest," Katy Sai tells CyberJournalist.net.

Here's an interesting video look at their project and their plans.

On the site, they write:

"We’ve had a lot of people ask how we’re launching this startup. The best answer is to meet the people who’ve developed the look and function of the site and listen to those who’ve coached us about the business.

This story is our version of that moment when the coaches gather everyone together and try to capture the spirit of a particular team. You’ll get a sense of the people behind the StoryBridge concept, how they helped and why they care."
