16 comments about 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'I have just finished the book! Wow, I thought it was great. Fabulous job. It had everything I expected. I did kinda miss the funniness and lightheartedness though.

Have just finished reading the book, still feel a bit punch drunk, cried real tears bit of a shock as I thought I was more jaded than that. Epilogue a bit gooey but only as expected, shame there wasn't more about how the magic world had changed after Voldermorts demise

I loved this book, but it was so sad that Snape was in love with Harry's mom, and that he was crying over her old letters :(

I have now read this book twice. It was absolutely brilliant, it gripped me from from the beginning till the end. It answered all the questions that we've been longing to hear and it ended it a perfect way. Some parts were tragic which made it difficult to read through all my tears. On the whole though it was well worth the wait. J.K Rowling is a genius and I will miss following Harry Ron and Hermione on their adventures.

the book was great! excellent job, jk rowling - but i was rather upset at some of the particular deaths of my fav characters (like lupin and bellatrix)
yea, it was quite sad how snape was crying over lily...i never knew his relationship was like that!

This was my favorite of the series so far. I believe the two deaths that made me cry the most were Fred and finding out that Snape was crying over Lily's letter and stuff, after he died, I like bawled. She is a brilliant writer.
I don't think the epilogue was "korny" persay, I just think it was meant to be lighthearted after all the tragic things that happened in the book.
The final battle between Harry and Voldemort was amazing. I loved how he won with wits and skill.
I must say, when Harry was talking to Dumbledore, I never would've thought him to be that way, but it was an awesome twist and he's still good.
The last thing I must say is the relationship that Lily and Snape had was.. wow. I never would've thought.
All in all, my favorite of the series, actually, my favorite book ever. All of them are.
Harry and Ginny's relationship is sweet. Just like Ron and Hermione's. Those were the two couple I thought HAD to get together.
Thanks
Hannah.

I don't know what to say ... I just finished it... It was such a good book! I hate reading ... But Harry Potter is so great ... I never thought I would cry for a book ... All the deaths ... all the love ... pfiouuu
One of my favourite moment is when Kreattur came with the other house-elves with knives to fight de Dead Eaters ... It was so cute ...

The snake died when Neville pulled the sword of Gryffindor out of the hat and cut his head off.

I loved the book it was really cool.. i liked all of the close encounters that really kept you into it... the one thing that i would have like a bit better was, like someone said, how the wizarding world changed after Voldemorts death/demise... also i REALLY wanted to know what Harry ended up doing in his life job wise. But i can't complain it was a great book and i am going to miss the anwiety to see what the next one brings you know... Rowling absolutley brillant.... I STILL CAN'T BELEIVE ITS OVER!!!!

Maybe she'll write another book about how the magic world turns out after Voldemort dies and what not. I doubt she will, but you never know

I liked the book except for the battle of hogwarts chapter. The deaths happened too fast. Tonks Shouldn't have even been at the battle. I was really shocked and disappointed when Fred died. Overall the book was great. I knew Snape had to be good. Dumbledore always trusted Snape. I didn't really understand why Draco was the owner of the elder wand or even why Harry was the owner after he disarmed Draco. Draco didn't even have possesion of the elder wand when Harry diarmed him.

I just finished reading the book and it was tragic but seemed to answer all of the questions the previous book had left. I too was saddened by the deaths of Dobby, Fred, Tonks and Lupin. This was a very dark book, that despite its length, ended too quickly.
I say THANK YOU J.K. ROWLING for Harry Potter and his friends and world. They will stay with me forever. But I will REALLY miss it all.
