All the news that’s fit to (not) print
Treading near the same ground that publisher Arthur Sulzberger visited when he said he didn't care whether the New York Times would be printing a paper in five years, deputy managing editor Jonathan Landman says in a memo to staff that online storytelling has progressed to the point where it can stand alone, without print. "Our online storytelling skills have evolved to the point where you really can get the whole story without reading a newspaper article," says the memo, reports Gawker.com.
In related news, the Times has published its first video letter to the editor, from an anti-war filmmaker.
