Hearst-Argyle Television on YouTube a big success
Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc. has launched 10 additional "Channels" on YouTube, bringing the total of Hearst-Argyle's YouTube channels to 26.
In June 2007 Hearst-Argyle became the first independent TV station group owner to establish a content- and revenue-sharing arrangement with YouTube.
To date the YouTube Channels have served more than 13 million views of videos including Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy's angry news conference appearance, provided by Hearst-Argyle's KOCO-TV, Oklahoma City; and Sen. The KOCO video garnered nearly 500,000 views; the WMUR video, nearly 350,000.
