Mark Glaser says the increase in bloggers, Twitterers, podcasters and new media types has changed the dynamic of the press corps.
As more independent voices get in to conventions, the question is: Are they insiders or outsiders now? And can you tell the new media from the traditional media when so many independent bloggers are doing hard-nosed reporting and so many mainstream media types are blogging and shooting video?
“It does make you wonder,” says Daily Kos blogger Georgia Logothetis, quoted by the National Journal. “This blog culture that grew up outside of the traditional media, are we starting to step up to the stage and be with them as equals?”
