The most important skills in online news jobs are traditional journalism skills such as news judgement, according to a new study by a Medill Schol of Journalism student, produced in cooperation with the Online News Association. Master’s student C. Max Magee surveyed than 400 online journalists for the study.
It might be interesting to take this question up again — not least because Magee collected his data in 2005, and last week at Davos, Slate’s Jacob Weisbergwas still talking about “the sometimes embarrassing attempts of MSM to join the action on the Web.”
