Traffic to magazine websites is growing

Traffic to consumer magazine Web sites grew 8.1 percent during the fourth quarter of 2007, according to data released by the Magazine Publishers of America, FolioMag.com reports.
According to the MPA, the growth of these sites is “more than three times” the growth rate of the overall U.S. Internet audience, which increased 2.4 percent during the same period.

Magazine site traffic has to be growing faster than the overall rate of growth for web traffic, otherwise it’s actually shrinking, relatively.
This is the problem many newspaper sites face. They tout their growth, but it’s actually below the overall rate of growth, which means they’re losing market share, even online.
