Thanks for the mention. Just to clarify and give credit where credit is due, the Newsplex/Cingular Wireless Election Connection used two journalists-in-training from Northeastern University and two from Emerson College in addition to the four from the University of South Carolina. Doug Fisher was the lead newsflow coordinator for the Democratic National Convention coverage and led the editorial team based at the Ifra Newsplex at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. (One of his other numerous activities outside of his professorial duties is the Common Sense Journalism blog at http://commonsensej.blogspot.com.) The WEC project is being coordinated by Randy Covington, who was the lead storybuilder in Boston managing our mobile multiskilled reporters and who has also just been named the new director of the Ifra Newsplex facility in South Carolina. More information about the Ifra Newsplex initiative and the Wireless Election Connection moblog project is available at http://www.newsplex.org.
